  • The perfect picnic/party/outdoors companion, a pocket knife and corkscrew in one. Now you have your cheese and wine cutlery needs solved in one! A professional-quality corkscrew : 5 spires made of hardened stainless steel.

Blade: 10cm length. Opinel use Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.

Handle: Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, our beech is hard, durable and easy to work. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of numerous small dark dashes.

    CARE:

Stainless steel pocket knife blade: With your OPINEL open, run warm water on the blade and wipe with a sponge and washing-up liquid. Rinse the blade with warm water while taking care not to soak the wooden handle. Leave the blade to dry before closing. Important: Do not immerse your knife in water as this could warp the wooden handle. Pocket knives (closing blade): Beware, pocket knives should not be cleaned in the dishwasher to avoid permanent damage to your knives.

Safety ring: Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).

ABOUT OPINEL: Opinel knives are reknown for quality and the one of the best folding knives in the world. Founded in 1890 in the Savoie region of France. His philosophy: 'Good sense, the feeling of comfort when gripped, the convenience of being able to put it in your pocket'. Descendents of Jospeh Opinel still own the company today.
