  • A lovely whimsical wine bottle carafe. Also suitable for sake and other spirits, or water. Or a lovely vase.

    Tobe ware ceramics started making its appearance when Kato Yasokichi, 9th lord of the Ozu Domain (1769-1787), started hiring potters from Hizen. In 1976 Tobe ware was officially designated by the government as a traditional crafts. The porcelain are characterised by a slightly thick, rugged base and fine brush strokes.
