Based in the ancient capital city and textile region of Nara, Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten has been creating fabrics for over 300 years. Founded in 1716 they are the only company from that era that has preserved the narasarashi weaving tradition. With their unchanged insistence on traditional techniques and manually spun yarn and woven linen, the firm creates new linen goods for contemporary life under the theme "New Japanese Style".
