Izumibashi is a brewery in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan. The brewery is as passionate about rice farming as they are about Sake-brewing. The summer months are spent working on the rice fields, and winter months making Sake with the rice they grew in summer. They believe in sustaining and supporting both the agricultural industry as well as the Sake industry. They believe in organic farming and are always working towards using less chemicals and pesticides. In brewing, their emphasis is on meticulous attention to Kōji making, creating a robust sake through complete fermentation, which can be enjoyed as it ages.
the sake cups:
It is common to add other metallic materials to provide durability and facilitate cutting work, but Nousaku (Japan) use pure tin in their products. Accumulated experience of skilled craftsmen enables Nousaku to produce these unique pieces. The inner side of this item is gilded; a collaborative manufacturing between craftsmen of gold leaf at Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture. It can be used as sake cup, seasoning cup and various table top accent, accessory container, etc. Tin is the most valuable metal after gold and silver. It is very malleable and flexible and does not rust or tarnish readily. It is significantly antibacterial, and also known as a material with high heat conductivity. Tin ware cooled in a refrigerator for 2-3 minutes will keep the dish fresh and cold.
