Valerie Restarick is a ceramicist based in Melbourne. Valerie initially trained as a painter at the National Gallery School under John Brack. After a stint in London teaching and studying pottery, Valerie returned to Melbourne where she continues to practice and teach; having opened her own pottery and studio. She says of her work,
