The Seljak Snygg blanket is a luxurious, durable blanket for adventuring and homemaking, and everything in between. Snygg (pronounced "sneig"), which means stylish or good looking in Swedish, has a contemporary Scandinavian feel with fresh sage and indigo blocks of colour. Because each blanket is made with offcuts reflecting the production run before it, they may vary slightly in colour and texture.

  • 190cm x 152cm
  • Fringe finish
  • 70% recycled merino wool
  • 30% blend of recycled alpaca, mohair and polyester
  • Made in Tasmania, Australia
  • Closed loop, sustainable, ethically made
Seljak Brand's eco-friendly blankets can be used as a throw for the couch and the bed, or taken outdoors and used as a picnic rug or camping blanket.
Care for your blanket: Because this is a naturally antibacterial product, the easiest way to clean your blanket is to air it out by hanging it in the sun (plus it's environmentally friendly). Spot clean dirty marks and spills with lukewarm soapy water. If necessary, machine wash at maximum 30 degrees with a wool wash and hang dry. Reducing machine washing extends your blanket’s life and reduces energy and water consumption.

For every 10 blankets sold, Seljak send one to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre - an organisation that helps asylum seekers feel welcome, safe and supported in Australia.

About Seljak

Seljak are two sisters who imagine a world without waste. They’re finding new ways of making and using beautiful things that are regenerative by design.

Seljak Brand launched in March 2016 and has since worked towards accelerating the transition towards a more circular economy. Their closed loop blankets are made from recycled merino wool offcuts from the factory floor of a wool mill in Tasmania. The blankets are 70% recycled Australian merino wool and a 30% blend of polyester and recycled alpaca, mohair and cotton - cosy enough for indoors and durable enough for outdoors.
