This is a plant-based candle 100% made from Japanese rice bran wax. Rice bran wax is harder than other waxes conventionally used for candles thus lasts substantially longer.
These rice bran wax candles are perfect for use in dining scenes as they last for a very long time. Thanks to the natural material, the candles produce less soot and smell.
Tip: To extinguish the candle the traditional way, use a pair of tweezers to clip the wick and sink it into the pool of melted wax. Ensure the flame is extinguished before putting the wick upright again. This makes it possible to extinguish the flame without producing smoke.

The wax harvested from the sumac trees called HAZE originally came from Ryukyu (Okinawa) in the Edo period (1603 - 1868). The HAZE trees are found particularly in western Japan and have been bred to make them suitable for candle-making.
As the material used is all-natural, it burns stably and beautifully without excess dripping wax and is environmentally sustainable as well.
