The KURO-MURA series are black colored version of FUTAGAMI IHADA brass products. But please note that they are not just black colored. Unlike one-note coloring of painting nor plating, the KURO-MURA shows a warm texture, and gives each product's own expression.
The traditional coloring method of TAKAOKA casting, KURO-MURA, makes the products something like an ancient excavated items. This is a traditional method used for Buddhist altar articles, which mixes pigments with Japanese lacquer, URUSHI. The product gradually changes its color over the course of years due to oxidization. The longer it is used, the richer and subtler it becomes.
