It is made using traditional casting techniqe which has been passed down through generations for over 400 years in Takaoka, Japan. -
The Nousaku foundry is based in Takaoka City, Japan. It began manufacturing buddhist ritual objects, vases and utensils for tea ceremony in 1916 and now continues to produce an exquisite range of hand-crafted metal objects, vessels, artwork and even medical instruments imbued with experience and tradition.
