Shino Takeda lives and works in New York. She grow up on Kyushu island in southern Japan. Kyushu has a rich history of ceramic & arts. When a child Shino and her family would travel around Japan to look at different art shows and visit ceramic artists studios. Her work is an appropriation of those more traditional Japanese forms mixed with all the freshness of NYC today.

All Shino's work is one of a kind、food safe and made with hand building technique.
