Valerie Restarick
Valerie Restarick is a ceramicist based in Melbourne. Valerie initially trained as a painter at the National Gallery School under John Brack. After a stint in London teaching and studying pottery, Valerie returned to Melbourne where she continues to practice and teach; having opened her own pottery and studio over ten years ago in Carlton North. She says of her work, “I am very influenced by the Bernard Leach school and Japanese aesthetics which have segues to Edmund de Waal and Minimalism.”
Valerie also has work available in the Mr Kitly gallery stockroom.
