Goosullae Kim was born in Korea, raised in Sydney and based in Melbourne. Her practice is rooted in Korean heritage and speaks of her time in Australia. 

Using clay as medium, wheel-thrown and hand-built forms are created in small batches, with close attention paid to the material quality. 

Goosullae sees working with clay as an ever-present and ever-changing time. The gesture of making leaves loose traces on the form, which are preserved after firing. Her work often speaks of emotions, place and time.
