Goosullae's Stem cups were developed while exploring the Moon Jar, where two pieces are joined to create one form. Over time, this process gradually transformed into the shape of a stem cup, which reflects Goosullae’s identity as an immigrant and Korean-Australian. These cups also carry liquid, space, and emotion.

  • Goosullae Kim is a Korean-Australian potter, who creates in a studio located in the northern part of Melbourne with other creatives.

Through study and training, Goosullae learned to create work with clay and reconnected to the beauty of Korean traditional art and craft that speaks of her time here and now.

Mostly working on the wheel, exploring domestic work that can cross the line of functional ware and art form, and working in the sense of time and light are the ongoing themes of her practice.
