What have you been up to in lockdown #18 HB Archive

Back in March I brought home a big bag of fabric scraps from the studio, I cut them into squares on my kitchen table and have been sewing them back into checkerboard sheets and then my Reso Bag whenever I get the chance.
Between the two lockdowns I visited my friend and photographer Caitlin Jablonka, and we went for a little walk and took some photos.

Caitlin has since been playing with different scenes and styles over this lock down and sharing them with me :)

It's fun to rework parts of old projects together, reducing waste and creating a valued item, as well as the Reso Bag being continuously reimagined by Caitlin, and a nice thing for us to be able to share with each other (together but apart) the last few months.

What have you been up to in lockdown is an online collation, a mix tape of sorts, of works, projects, and meanderings by artists whose work Mr Kitly has represented over the years.

Melbourne has been in extended lockdown since March due to corona and is currently under the strictest stay at home laws imposed since the crisis began. We are all staying at home to keep each other safe and reach the other side.

This series is a way to hear about what our Mr Kitly friends and artist community have been up to during lockdown. I miss seeing them all in person and being inspired by what they do.  - Bree (Mr Kitly)
