What have you been up to in lockdown #14 Minaal Lawn
Crazy Paving
I've taken a deep dive into landscaping. Not something I saw coming, but am thoroughly enjoying. The latest is crazy paving (many similarities to working with clay actually). It’s hard work, immensely satisfying, which I do feel completely lucky to be able to do during lockdown (we are in Stage 3 so have a few more liberties). I've been fitting in studio time around this, and homeschooling my 3 children (gosh, homeschool...trying not to think too hard about how poor a teacher I am).
The inspiration from a trip to India in February of this year has bubbled its way to the surface with the headspace I have, and often strikes while I’m knee deep in compost. It's a strange time, a beautiful time being with my young family, but simultaneously stagnant, sad and unbelievable.

What have you been up to in lockdown is an online collation, a mix tape of sorts, of works, projects, and meanderings by artists whose work Mr Kitly has represented over the years.
Melbourne has been in extended lockdown since March due to corona and is currently under the strictest stay at home laws imposed since the crisis began. We are all staying at home to keep each other safe and reach the other side.
This series is a way to hear about what our Mr Kitly friends and artist community have been up to during lockdown. I miss seeing them all in person and being inspired by what they do. - Bree (Mr Kitly)
